Music Mogul Simon Cowell may have later licked his wounds for not signing the Spice Girls when they tried to in the early 1990s by likely hijacking the car park where he was trying to get his car out.

Mel B Admits On The Tonight Show The Career Mistakes Of Spice Girls

The five girls, Mel B, Melanie Chisholm, Victoria Beckham, Geri Horner and Emma Bunton, sung a song for the music exec and said one day they will become famous. Hoping to get signed, the girls were disappointed by Cowell as they hadn’t scheduled an audition or a meeting with him, rather they had chosen a spontaneous performance in a parking lot.

Mel B disclosed the funny story to Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show on Monday saying it was their mistake in career. She said, “Not actually auditioned, we actually bamboozled him…”

Later, the group signed to EMI and Virgin and became the most popular girl bands in history.

However, despite the rejection, Mel B, born as Melanie Janine Brown, is now friend with The X-Factor creator and is also the judge alongside him on America’s Got Talent season 11.

The other guest of the show was 26-year-old Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe and the musical interlude was provided by 26-year-old country singer/songwriter Maren Morris.

Daniel, who admitted to have worshipped the Spice Girls as a child, can be next seen in Swiss Army Man opening on June 24.
