United States Vice President Mike Pence accused China while speaking at the conservative Hudson Institute of using diplomatic overtures, military expansion and trade to spread its influence.

He accused further that China is a greater threat to the midterm election security than Russia and Americans must be aware of it.

The Russian interference in the last presidential election is subject to investigation and to it President Donald Trump calls a witch hunt.

In his sharply critical speech he added that China has sought to undermine the U.S. interests across the globe as well as the president in the midterm elections.

Pence called the journalists, academic scholars and business leaders to counter such campaigns of China.

Following his speech China rejected all the allegations of election interference as they don’t have any interest in the internal affairs of the U.S.

Foreign ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said “We have no interest in interfering in the internal affairs and elections of the United States… The international community sees very clearly, in fact, which country is the one that invades the sovereignty of other countries, interferes in other countries’ internal affairs, and damages the interests of other countries.”

However, the speech of Pence is being looked as rising tensions between the two countries again and deepening trade war. Top White House aides said new policy is being developed to mark a turn in the bilateral relationship.

Pence accused China for using debt diplomacy in finding a trap country.
