Multiple suicide attacks killed 36 and injured many others late Tuesday at Ataturk International Airport in Istanbul, Turkey.

According to Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim, three suspected ISIS terrorists arrived in a taxi to the airport at about 10 p.m. local time and blew themselves after opening fire.

He added there is no assessment about any fourth attacker who may have escaped, but possibilities cannot be ruled out.

Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag said 147 people were injured in the multiple attacks.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the country has determination, power as well as capacity to continue their fight against terrorism.

Erdogan added the attacks at the airport in Istanbul reveals terrorism strikes with no regard to values and faith.

Anonymous official statement reveals about fifty people have been killed the attack.

Following the attacks the airport was put on lockdown, closing subway system and adjacent roads. Flights to the United States were suspended too.

TV footage showed panic among travelers immediately after the attacks. Ambulances were seen wheeling the wounded away, people covering in stores and people on cellphones in tears.

Witnesses said it was a scene of chaos at the airport.

One traveler said, “People were shooting from one side and we all ran the other way and then the bombs went off and people started running the other way and there was more shooting and we came out.”
