North Korea Fired Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile- South Korea

Joint Chiefs of Staff called it to be North Korea’s provocative behavior.

The launching comes a day after the South and United States reached a deal for deploying an advanced military defense system called Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) to intercept the continued weapons testing by the northern neighbor.

The two countries are in final stages of recommending location for the installation of THAAD.

According to South Korean Defense Policy Office head Yoo Jeh-seung said the installation of THAAD will be a defensive measure in protecting alliance military forces from the mass destruction of North Korea’s weapons.

Briefing to a joint press conference Yoo said, “It will be focused solely on North Korean nuclear and missile threats and would not be directed towards any third party nations.”
