The alleged mastermind, Abdelhamid Abaaoud, of Friday’s Paris attacks is officially confirmed to have been killed during a raid on Wednesday by French police in the Saint-Denis area.

The Paris prosecutor Francois Molins said Abdelhamid’s body was found riddled with bullets and his fingerprints collected at the scene helped in identifying the 27-year-old Belgian jihadist. He was also linked to the attacks on a Paris-bound-speed train and also a church.

Abdelhamid’s wife too died in the raid. She blew herself up with a suicide belt when police stormed the scene.

Eight other suspects were arrested too on Wednesday. However, another key suspect is still at large and fresh raids were conducted too around Brussels by Belgian authorities.

Today morning the Belgian police is reported to have detained one person in the Laeken area of Brussels. He is being questioned.

Molins added police had fired about 5,000 rounds during the Wednesday raid and the blast from suicide bomber has caused partial collapse of the building.

Meanwhile, six fresh raids had taken place across Belgium including Jette, Molenbeek and Brussels-city in connection to Paris stadium bomber alleged as Bilal Hadfi.

Six locations in Paris were attacked by terror group on Friday night that killed at least 129 innocent people.
