Now come the end of nude women photos on Playboy, the decades-old popular magazine. The change is said to be happening next year in March.

Playboy Redesign In March 2016 To End Nude Women Photos

According to a report published in The New York Times, the print edition of Playboy will not print fully nude photos but still it will feature women in provocative poses.

Playboy editor Cory Jones earlier contacted the founder and editor in chief of the magazine, Hugh Hefner, to end publishing of nude photos. It is said Hefner readily agreed to the proposal.

Playboy debuted in 1953 featuring Marilyn Monroe on the cover. It broke new record then. The new proposed change represents a major shift for the magazine.

Chief executive of the company, Scott Flanders, said the magazine is witnessing changes as people are now just a click away and that too for free for every sex act imaginable.

Alliance for Audited Media reports the current circulation of the magazine is just about 800,000. Playboy once had a circulation in millions. In 1975 its circulation was 5.6 million.

NYT writes Playboy will debut a PG-13 redesign next year and so there won’t be naked bodies in it.

Last August the website of Playboy adopted a safe-for-work look.
