Russia Begins Airstrikes In Syria, US Criticizes

Russia has started airstrikes in Syria bombarding opposition targets. If believed to activists and a rebel commander on the ground, mostly moderate rebel positions have been hit.

Meanwhile, US has criticized the airstrikes as it may bring added risks to Syria.

Russian President Vladimir V. Putin has justified the airstrikes saying it is acting preventatively to destroy the hold of terror group in their areas before they approach further towards them.

State-run TV sources said the aristrikes mainly occurred north of Homs and into Hama Province.

It is not to forget the $500 million program of White House to train the Syrian fighters as well as to equip them has failed largely.
