If you are tall, you may have the risk of developing cancer. A study by Swedish researchers finds extra 10cm of height may risk you of developing cancer.

Swedish Researchers Finds Taller People Are At Higher Risk Of Developing Cancer

Researchers at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm say the risk is increased by 18 percent among women and by 11 percent among men for every additional 10cm of height in fully grown body.

The researchers analyzed data of about five million men and women in Sweden whose heights ranged from 100cm to 225cm.

Lead author of the study, Dr Emelie Benyi, said the results that they have obtained reflect cancer incidence on a population level and more to this the cause of cancer is multifactorial and this is the reason predicting the right impact is difficult.

Meanwhile, it is suggested to quit smoking, cut down on alcohol and adopt a healthy diet as well as lifestyle to reduce the risk of cancer.
