Playboy has announced to end the nudity and come up with non-nude editions from March 2016. Amid this it is rumored Taylor Swift may appear on the cover of the magazine as first non-nude model for it.

Playboy was founded in 1953 and Marilyn Monroe featured on the first issue of the men magazine.

Lately the popularity of Playboy dropped to a very significant level. Its circulation has fallen from 5.6 million in 1975 to just 800,000 now, if believed to the data of Alliance for Audited Media.

It is said the falling sales of the magazine is due to rise in Internet and nudity is now just a click away.

In 2011 Playboy founder and editor-in-chief Hugh Hefner looked ahead to de-list the company at a valuation of $207 million. In 2000 it shuttered the Australian counterpart too after circulation dropped from 200,000 to 25,000.

Meanwhile, at this year MTV Video Music Awards held on August 30 Taylor Swift was awarded the category of best female video for her Blank Space. She was also the most nominated artist at MTV VMA 2015.

It is also learned she will be hosting the 2016 Met Gala with Anna Wintour, Jonathan Ive and Idris Elba.

Swift is currently dating Calvin Harris.
