Trump Happy Over London’s First Elected Muslim Mayor; Calls Exception

Donald J. Trump had earlier gained much attention with his comment to propose for temporary barring of Muslims from entering the United States. However, after London elected its first Muslim mayor he said was happy and would be among the exceptions to his proposal.

Trump said, “There will always be exceptions… I think it’s a very good thing, and I hope he does a very good job because frankly that would be very, very good.”

He added if the mayor does a great job that would be a terrific thing.

Soon after the multiple terror attacks in French capital Paris in November 2015 Trump proposed ban on Muslims from entering the US. He was widely criticized.

The first mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, too criticized Trump;s approach to Muslims after his election and said to be visiting the US before inauguration.

Khan said if Trump becomes the next president of America he will be stopped from visiting the country by virtue of his faith and this in fact means he won’t be able to engage with counterparts and swap ideas.
