YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley is reported to be shedding a huge amount of $440K and making Kanye West and Kim Kardashian richer by the same figure. The case is of legal settlement.

Hurly had secretly filmed the ballpark engagement ceremony of the two and posted it on his video startup platform MixBit on October 22, 2013. It was a two-and-a-half minute footage in which Kim is heard saying “Yes” too. A message was posted along with the video saying, “Congrats Kim and Kanye!”

The engagement ceremony was a lavish one and held at San Francisco’s AT&T Park.

The 38-year-old tech mogul also tweeted the post to his followers.

Kanye and Kim got engaged on October 21, 2013. The day was also Kim’s 33rd birthday.

The celeb couple claimed a confidentiality agreement was broken, but the legal team of Hurley argued the filmed video amounted to free speech.

However, in the dispute settlement Hurley has agreed to pay them $440,000 against closure of the lawsuit.

TMZ reports Hurley will be paying the amount in next few days.

Hurley founded YouTube a decade ago in 2005 with Jawed Karim and Steve Chen. Google bought it from them a year later in 2006 for $1.65 billion.
