Lady Gaga Reveal Suffers From PTSD Since Age 14

In an interview on the Today Show on a visit to a homeless shelter for LGBTQ youth in New York, Lady Gaga revealed she suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder that started at the age of 19 when she was raped.

The United States pop star later tweeted, “Today I shared one of my deepest secrets w/ the world… Secrets keep you sick w/ shame.”

The 30-year-old singer further said she had never disclosed the secret to anyone before adding that kindness was the best way to healing.

About the Ali Fomey Center in Brooklyn she the children there are not just homeless, but many among them are trauma survivors too as they have been rejected in some type of way.

Lady Gaga had first revealed about the rape in 2014 in an interview with “The Horward Stem Show” saying she had waited long to disclose it as she didn’t want it to define her.

Seated around the teens the pop star also added that meditation helps her to calm down while she struggle with the mental illness every day.

At the end of her visit she performed a solo acoustic guitar version of Million Reasons, which is a single from her fifth LP, Joanne.
