Sooner or later the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 may blast in someone’s pocket if the official recall is not taken seriously by owners of the device globally.

Until now 92 reports have come to notice in United States about explosion of the smartphone due to overheating of batteries. About two dozen cases of burns too have been highlighted in media and it seems someone should contact a lawyer now.

In one of the latest blast reports a 28-year-old Jonathan Strobel of Boca Raton, Florida, is learned to have filed a lawsuit, one of the first, in the US noting the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 exploded on September 9 in his front pants pocket while he was at work in a Costco in Palm Beach Gardens.

The victim’s lawyer said, “His right thigh has a deep second-degree burn the size of the phone.”

He added further Strobel’s left hand too was burnt in the device explosion in his pocket.

According to Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 melted inside the pant of Strobel.

Strobel’s complaint mentions he sustained serious and permanent bodily injuries that resulted with pain and suffering, permanent impairment, disability, mental anguish, inconvenience, loss of the enjoyment of life, expense of medical care and treatment, expense of hospitalization, lost wages, and ability to earn wages in the past and to be experienced in the future.

Earlier Samsung did announce a self-initiated recall after a week of launching the Note 7.
