BREAKING: Radisson Hotel In Mali Capital Attacked, Gunmen Take 170 Hostage

Ten gunmen have rocked a 5-star Radisson Blu hotel few hours ago today in Mali capital Bamako taking 140 guests and 30 staff members hostage on the seventh floor of the building.

The attacks on the former French colony of Mali comes a week after a group of people attacked French capital Paris and killed 129 innocent people.

The Radisson Blu hotel is near to the offices of government ministries and diplomats in the capital.

NBC News reports two gunmen have locked the hostage and so there’s no possibility of anyone to go out or come in of the building.

The US Embassy in Mali said it is aware of the attacks and hostage at the Radisson Blu hotel.

All the staff of US Embassy and US citizens have been asked to take shelter and are also encouraged to contact their family and friends. It is also urged to monitor local media for further updates about the attack.

Earlier this year in August the Embassy had issued a security risk to the US citizens in southern Mali and it also included the area outside Bamako city.
