BREAKING: Train Crash In Spain; 4 Dead, 47 Injured

At least four people have been dead including the driver and dozens other injured in a train accident in Spain.

Initial report reveals the train of rail company RENFE was traveling from Vigo city in Spain for Portuguese city Oporto.

The train was derailed at around 9:25 a.m. local time near O Porrino station in Pontevedra, Galicia.

Regional government in Galicia confirmed 47 people have been injured in the accident. Some of them have been taken to local hospitals with the help of ambulance and helicopter.

RENFE said in a press release 63 passengers were traveling in the train.

The statement further added RENFE and Portuguese National train Service shared the route.

An investigation to the accident has been ordered to find the exact cause.

In 2013 a train accident in Galicia killed 80 people and injured 144 others. Cause of the accident later revealed the train was moving at double the speed approaching a curve.

The train driver Francisco Jose Garzon was charged by authorities with 80 counts of homicide by professional recklessness.

In recent months Europe has been hit by several train accidents.
