In last 48 hours the tropical storm Etau swept across the main island of Honshu in Japan, which is said to be ‘once-in-50-years’ rain.

As of now two people have been reported missing and seventeen other are wounded. TV footage showed helicopters hovering over the ranging brown muddy waters rescuing people stranded on roofs of their homes.

Self Defense Forces are seen getting dropped from helicopter lines and trying to pluck the trapped people in the flood.

Since Monday the typhoon has dumped about 60 centimeters of rain in many areas.

Rainfall was almost every day for past few weeks in Japan. More rain has still been warned to bring further disaster and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said he is setting up an emergency center.
