North Korea Tests Homemade Engine For Launching Intercontinental Ballistic Missile

North Korea has made a homemade emgine capable of launching intercontinental ballistic missile that could reach United States.

Jeffrey Lewis, director of the East Asia program at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies in Monterey, Calif., said the country’s missiles are getting longer in ranges and it is pretty clear they are making fun of them.

Very recently the country had also unveiled a KN-08 road-mobile intercontinental ballistic missile but with a different engine that had not powered the other launches. The missile is also commonly known as a Rodong-C.

KCNA news agency said North Korea has successfully tested a new indigenously designed engine under the supervision of Kim Jong Un at the Sohae missile launch site near its west coast.

Analysts said the earlier tested missiles of North Korea were capable of reaching the continental United States but the new one with 80-ton booster would hit the US mainland.

North Korea has tested several missiles this year including road mobile multiple rocket launchers and solid-fuel rocket engines.

Kim has threatened United States that its new ranges of missiles could blow up White House, South Korea’s presidential Blue House and New York City.

Currently joint military drills are under process on the peninsula between United States and South Korea, and this is viewed by North Korea as a pretext for an invasion.
