Moscow believes the government has won the dividends at a relatively low cost and with minimal loss of life of civilian as well as soldiers.

Meanwhile, the Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov said the country would not stop its bombing campaign in the war-torn country against the ISIS terrorist group and other anti-government forces.

Lavrov added he don’t find any reason to stop the air strikes in support of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, a long-time Russian ally.

Prior to the start of Russian airstrikes in Syria, the Assad forces were losing ground rapidly, but now they are regaining territories.

A retired lieutenant general and senior vice president of the Russian Center for Policy Studies in Moscow, Evgeny Buzhinsky, said the operation is quite successful and it need to continue probably for another one year or more depending on the success on the ground.

Amid all these, the international terrorism has damaged the relationship of Russia with Egypt, an ally and also a large economic partner.
