T-Mobile has come up with a new video-calling feature. As of now it is limited to a couple of Samsung devices only. It allows users placing and receiving video calls in just one click.

T-Mobile Launching Video-Calling Feature

Samsung will be rolling out software updates for its Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. These four devices will currently be compatible to the new feature of T-Mobile.

For the software update users need to follow this route – Settings > About Device > Software Update.

According to T-Mobile CTO Neville Ray, more three devices will be added to be compatible to the new feature by the end of this years, and with it the total count would be seven.

The devices that would be compatible with the new feature will show a small camera icon just next to the contacts. Those who can’t take the video calls will see the icon to be turning to gray.

T-Mobile suggests to remain in the range of LTE or Wi-Fi to get HD voice out of the video calling. Moving towards a slower connection will lead the shifting of video call to voice call.

With the entry to video calling feature the carrier would be competing against some of the most popular video calling options such as Skype, Google Hangouts, Facebook Messenger and FaceTime.

Do you think T-Mobile would be able to compete with the video calling service providers? Do share your views with fellow readers in the below given comment box.
