Tanzania Need To Consider Putting More Efforts In Tourism Sector: Expert

Not much, or rather no enough, has been done in Tanzania to advertise tourism either on local platform or internationally and it is high time to set aside money to lure travelers to the country, says travel expert.

If believed to opinions the Tanzanian government need to scale up anti-poaching efforts and this can be done by allocating more resources.

The government should also take care the game rangers need to be well trained and equipped with technological power too as poachers are usually empowered with modern weapons.

Even though number of poaching reports have declined in recent times, but more need to be done abreast of anti-poaching campaign like increasing participation of local community.

The increased efforts will help in saving endangered species of animals.

One travel expert points out that Tanzania should not be thinking of generating more money from tourism without putting enough resources to campaigns. Local as well as international celebrities should be contracted for advertisement, said ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism.

The expert adds Tanzanian government should also be strengthening ties with national park authorities to get their support too in the planning.

Conflicting policies in the tourism segment should be abandoned too like removing or reducing unnecessary taxes and levies or avoid poor publicity.
