Finally the much debated topic related to Turkey and Russia seems to be coming to an end. Across the world critics and intelligentsia discussed whether the strain relations between the two countries may open the door to World War III.

Turkish, Russian Presidents To Meet On Nov 30

The Kremlin confirmed Friday Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has sent a request to Russian President Vladimir Putin to meet on November 30 in French capital Paris during the United Nations climate change summit.

The Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed the request has been officially submitted to the Russian president.

It is reported the invitation comes days after a Russian warplane was shot down by Turkish jet fighter alleging the pilot violated airspace even after repeated warnings. It has crossed the Syrian border and entered Turkey.

Russia has continually denied its warplane violated the airspace claiming it remained within the airspace of Syria. The warplane was used to bombard targets of Islamic State within the borders of Syria.

Both the countries are members of North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and this is the first time a member has downed another’s warplane since 1952.

For past few days the two countries have been engaged in chest-thumping rhetoric and each seen demanding apologize from other.
