United States is coming up with couple of new rules for immigrants and most of them would not be happy. The Trump administration has signed a proposed rule that may deny green cards to those who have availed or may avail government benefits like cash assistance and food.

The new rule is a crack down on immigration and it reveals, “(foreign immigrants who) seek adjustment of status or a visa, or who are applicants for admission, must establish that they are not likely at any time to become a public charge (unless determined by Congress).”

Earlier the Trump administration told federal court that work permits to H-4 visa users will be revoked. The Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said the immigrants who are seeking to immigrate need to show they are capable of supporting themselves financially.

Meanwhile, tech giants like Facebook said the new rule will cost the country in the long run by limiting the stay of hardworking immigrants in the United Stages.

Opposing the new rule, business houses points that federal government should not penalize low-income parents.

A 60 day-time is given to public to comment on the proposed rule. Before it is promulgated it is believed changes could be made.

The Trump administration is cracking down heavily on several issues and trade war with China is mostly in the highlight. Tariffs have been imposed on many goods imported from Chinese companies.
